The Karnataka high court on Wednesday adjourned further hearing till Thursday the petitions filed by former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, seeking regular bail in two corruption cases.

Arguments remained inconclusive before Justice B V Pinto. In these two cases, the special Lokayukta court on October 15 remanded the 68-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party leader to judicial custody till October 22, which was then extended to November 3.

The cases were registered by Lokayukta police on private complaints by city advocate Sirijan Basha alleging that Yeddyurappa, currently lodged in the central prison in Bengaluru, had denotified government lands for the benefit of his family members.

Yeddyurappa had moved the high court for bail after special Lokayukta judge N K Sudhindra Rao rejected his plea.

Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa's petitions seeking anticipatory bail in the remaining three corruption cases filed against him by city advocate Sirajin Basha will come up for hearing before Justice H Billappa in the high court on Thursday.

Yeddyurappa's sons, B Y Raghavendra and B Y Vijayendra, and son-in-law R N Sohan Kumar, co-accused in these three cases, have also sought anticipatory bail.
