Director General of Border Security Force U K Bansal is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir's Samba sector on Thursday to review the situation arising after the detection of a 400-metre-long cross-border tunnel in the sector.
Bansal will arrive in Srinagar on Thursday morning from New Delhi and visit Chachwal border belt on the India-Pakistan border in Samba sector, the BSF official said.

Failing to make headway in uncovering the tunnel, the BSF had on Tuesday sought the help of the Army and the Geological Survey of India to uncover the tunnel.
The BSF had also lodged a protest with Pakistan Rangers at the forward post along the India-Pakistan border in R S Pura belt over the issue on Tuesday.
Authorities had on July 28 detected a 400-metre-long tunnel into India from Pakistan along the India-Pakistan border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The tunnel was detected after an area caved in at some places due to rains. The tunnel had been dug between two sides along the border on India's Chillayari border outpost and Pakistan's Lumberiyal border outpost.
Incidentally, it was a Class XII student, identified as Sukhdev, who first noticed that his farm land had caved in some places and subsequently informed the BSF.
The tunnel had been dug at a depth of 25 feet below the ground level.
