A techie from Bengaluru has come under the scanner of the Hyderabad police for his alleged role in terror activities.
Thirty-one-year-old SCB Jagadish, who runs a computer institute in Bengaluru, came on the police radar a few days ago when he was visiting a relative in Andhra Pradesh. During the visit, he was allegedly receiving instructions online to prepare a bomb. However, the explosive went off leaving him critically injured.
Jagdish is currently undergoing treatment at a Hyderabad hiospital.
On reaching the spot of the blast, the police recovered three cell phones, SIM cards, a battery-operated clock, which was used to prepare the bomb. They also seized a timer device and iron pipes filled with chemicals, which raised suspicions about his terror links. They are also not ruling out Jagadish's links with Naxals.
The police suspect that the techie was trying to connect the bomb assembled inside a wall clock to a computer when it went off.
The Andhra Pradesh police is trying to gather more details regarding the Jagdish.
