BJP MPs will explain the merits of the Budget in building a self-reliant India to the people of their respective constituencies and regions on February 5, 6, 12 and 13, sources said.

The party has also asked all the states ruled by it to organise programmes to explain the merits of the Budget to the people, the sources added.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined the details of the Budget to BJP leaders across the country in a virtual interaction, in which all the party officials participated.

MPs have been asked to hold press conferences in their constituencies on February 5, 6, 12 and 13, while party officials in all districts will highlight the key points of the Budget.

The party will also hold virtual meetings for 15 days to highlight the major schemes in the Budget.

The Budget will be uploaded on the party's website in local languages and will be promoted on social media platforms as well.

Prime Minister Modi had said that this Budget aims to build a modern India on the foundations of a self-reliant India.
