Security personnel at the San Francisco Airport detained Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's son Bilal last week after they believed they detected traces of explosive material TNT in his child's nappy bag, Pakistan daily Dawn reported on Wednesday.

Bilal Musharraf, his wife and son Hamza were made to stand aside and the nappy bag was put through the baggage scan half a dozen times, the report said.

Since repeated tests took time, Bilal and his family missed their flight to Frankfurt. They were eventually cleared by the airport security and allowed to proceed.

Bilal, who works in Boston, will arrive in New Delhi on Wednesday to watch the cricket match.
