The Bihar government is taking help of social networking site Facebook to nail corruption, an official said on Tuesday.
The Bihar State Housing Board has provided an opportunity to the people to file their complaint on Facebook against corrupt officials and any issue related to graft.
“We have appealed to the people to file their complaint related to corruption on the BSHB Facebook page. It is a first such move initiated by the BSHB in Bihar. By using Facebook, people will file complaints such as demand of bribe by officials,” a BSHB official said.
The BSHB on its official website has urged people to use Facebook to lodge complaint about corruption against officials.
The BSHB’s official website on its home page says, ‘Be Transparent, Kill Corruption’, making it clear to people that if any one is victim of corruption in the board office, he or she is free to share information about it.
Two years ago the state government has decided to use YouTube as a new tool to expose corrupt and bribe-seekers. The BSHB is a state level organisation engaged in development of integrated housing colonies with all infrastructure facilities.
