Lok Sabha debates resolution to remove Speaker Om Birla

The Lok Sabha on Tuesday commenced discussion on the resolution seeking the removal of Speaker Om Birla from office, after 50 members stood up in support of the resolution.

BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, who is in the Chair, says 10 hours have been allotted for the debate, and asked MPs to stick to the resolution. He says the Speaker was generous with the permissions and procedure for the Opposition-sponsored resolution.
