GST on electric vehicles to remain at 5%: Govt

The GST rate on electric vehicles will remain unchanged at 5%, Arvind Shrivastava, revenue department secretary in the finance ministry said on Wednesday.

The clarification came amid wider rate revisions approved at the 56th GST Council meeting.
