Footwear costing up to Rs 2,500 will attract 5 percent GST, while footwear priced above Rs 2,500 will remain at 18 percent.

Earlier, footwear below Rs 1,000 was taxed at 12 percent and above Rs 1,000 at 18 percent. -- ANI
