Three share Physics Nobel for 'quantum mech tunnelling'

The Nobel Prize in Physics for 2025 goes to John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and John M. Martinis "for the discovery of macroscopic quantum mechanical tunnelling and energy quantisation in an electric circuit." The prize will be given out at a ceremony on December 10, the anniversary of prize founder Alfred Nobel's death. The physics honour has been awarded 118 times to 226 Nobel Prize laureates between 1901 and 2024.
