Modi wishes Putin on 73rd birthday, summit in focus

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted Russian President Vladimir Putin on his 73rd birthday and conveyed his best wishes.

During a phone conversation, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the longstanding India-Russia partnership, according to sources.

Modi also expressed that he looks forward to welcoming Putin to India for the upcoming India-Russia annual summit. -- PTI
