Farmers board buses for Kisan Sansad near Parl

Farmers protesting against the three farm laws since November 2020 will today begin a Kisan Sansad at Jantar Mantar. The agitation will be held in groups of 200 every day while Parliament is in session.

The Delhi government and the police yesterday agreed to let farmers hold the Kisan Sansad at Jantar Mantar from today till August 9 between 11am and 5pm. Disaster management rules were tweaked for this amid the pandemic. 

Covid protocol will be strictly followed.

Around 200 farmers coming by buses adamant on taking GT Karnal Road from Singhu border to Parliament; stopped by police escorting them. Cops ask them to take alternative route.

Only 206 allowed each day as per conditions.Protesters to follow Parliamentary norms, with a speaker, a deputy speaker, a tea break etc. "We will show how to hold Parliament," political activist Yogendra Yadav has said.
