Sensex slips from record level, down 97 points
November 06, 2017 10:15The BSE Sensex fell by over 97 points in early trade today, retreating from its record highs, on profit booking in metal, oil & gas, banking, teck and PSU stocks after a recent rally. Besides, capital outflows by foreign funds and a mixed trend at other Asian bourses and caution ahead of earnings from some more bluechip companies this week influenced the sentiment, brokers said.
The 30-share index retreated by 97.19 points, or 0.28 per cent to 33,588.37 points as against Friday's record close of 33,685.56. It also touched an all-time high (intra-day) of 33,733.71. -- PTI
