J-K CM pays tribute to slain Amarnath yatris before bodies are sent home

Governor NN Vohra, CM Mehbooba Mufti, deputy CM Nirmal Singh pay tribute to those killed in Amarnath terror attack. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who described the attack as an assault on India's values and traditions, hoped to arrest and punish the those involved.


Terrorists killed seven Amarnath pilgrims, including six women, and injured 19 others as they struck at a bus in Kashmir's Anantnag district, in the worst attack on the annual pilgrimage since the year 2001.


Mehbooba called on security forces and the Jammu and Kashmir Police to act swiftly and nab the perpetrators so that a stern message went out to anti-social elements that severe and punitive action can be taken against them if they went against the law.
