Prime Minister Narendra Modi was shocked and disheartened with the extent of injuries sustained by the victims of the temple tragedy. He visited the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College and met some of the injured. Kerala Governor and BJP leader Sreesanth join him.

After his visit, he said, "I visited the site and the hospital today, my sympathies are with the kin of the deceased persons. Government of India stands with the people of Kerala, we will help them in the best way possible.
