Eminent cartoonist R K Laxman dies at a Pune hospital at the age of 94.
Laxman, 94, was admitted to the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital last week after suffering from a urinary infection that led to a multi-organ failure. His condition worsened on Sunday and he was put on life support.
Through his iconic character of 'the common man', Laxman had held a mirror to the society by creating satire targeting politicians for more than five decades. However, of late he had stopped sketching political cartoons.
