Launch air strikes against militants: Iraq asks US

According to BBC, Iraq has formally asked the United States to launch air strikes against the jihadist ISIS militants who have taken control in several key cities.

Another news alert on the Al Arabiya news channel quoted Iraq Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebarias saying,"We request the United States to launch air strikes against militants."
