Ishrat Jahan encounter: IPS Singhal arrested

G L Singhal, a prime suspect in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case, has been arrested. Singhal was the ACP when the encounter took place in 2004. Singhal, who had been moved out of Ahmedabad as SP of Kheda district after the probe started in the encounter case, is now in the state intelligence bureau in Gandhinagar. Jahan and three of her friends were killed in 2004.
