Pranab also touched upon violence in Assam, Naxal-related deaths, which he says has reduced over the last year. At least 400 police stations in Naxal-affected areas were in place, roads (critical to maintaining peace in the areas) were underway.
Peace prevails, to a large extent in J&K and the Northeast and terrorism-related deaths have fallen.
