No saffron presence at Hazare's fast

Rediff.com's Sahim Salim reports from Rajghat, venue of Anna Hazare's protest today, that probably taking a cue from the criticism they faced in their April protest, this time round there is no saffron presence at the hunger strike.

And for all those who have been panning BJP leader Sushma Swaraj for swaying to a patrioticsong at her party's protest rally at the same venue, today people have been dancing at Rajghat to Gandhiji's favourite bhajan, Raghupati Raghava Rajaram....

There is also a strong police presence at the venue. A senior police officer has told Sahim Salim that between 800 and 1000 policemen have been deployed at the protest, presumably to prevent anything "untoward" from happening.
