Cross border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir

I Jammu and Kashmir has been hit by a 20-year long Pakistan sponsored insurgency. The Armed Forces Special Powers Act is used to maintain Law and order in the state. The Seperatists, pro-Pakistani and pro-Indian factions of its polity create very fractured mandate. Omar Abdullah has already escaped one attempt on his life by seperatists.
