The US president said India is full of diversity and energy and that it was a complex country like the US. Much of the growth and rise of India are attributed to the wisdom of Manmohan Singh, Obama said.
Singh said people of India have great respect for Obama and they admired him for the values he stood for. The prime minister told the president that he brought a ray of hope and that the youth look up to him as an icon. Singh said he would like to invite Obama to India where a warm welcome awaits you.
The prime minister told Obama his daughters asked him for a favour before he came to London that he request him for his autograph on their books.
