Congratulating Barack Obama on winning the United States presidential elections, Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has promised to bring about a similar change in Andhra Pradesh in the next year's state elections.

To achieve this goal, he sought the support of the youth and promised to do everything possible to solve their educational and economic problems through a Rs 50,000 crore program.

Addressing a mammoth 'Yuva Garjana' or Roar of the Youth Rally in Guntur district, attended by more than a million supporters, Naidu said he was always in favour of Democratic party of Bill Clinton while the Congress always supported the George Bush's Republican party.

"Today George Bush's party has been badly defeated and Barack Obama has registered a historic victory," he said.

Naidu recalled that when he was the chief minister, he had brought Bill Clinton to Hyderabad in March 2000.

"But the Rajasekhara Reddy brought George Bush."

Ridiculing the Congress party, he said whomsoever the Congress party touches, he meets with the defeat.

The US presidential poll result echoed at the rally held for the formal entry into politics of a popular Telugu film star N Balakrishna, the son of late TDP founder and actor N T Rama Rao.

Welcoming Balakrishna and other family members' support to the TDP, Naidu said: "Nandamuri family is coming in to politics to defeat the corrupt rule of Congress party in the next elections."

"Balakrishna, Kalyan Ram and Tarakaratna (all film stars of NTR family) have come to support the TDP and take it forward," he said.

Balakrishna, in his address, said there was no reason for the people to be surprised by his presence at the rally.

"I have always been with the TDP, a party set up by my father. I have campaigned for the party in the past and will do it again to bring back Chandrababu Naidu to power."

"After seeing what is happening today in the state, I could not hold my self back and I have come forward to take up my responsibility to bring the TDP to power for the sake of the ideals of my father," he said.
