Former Rediff journalist passes away

It is with great sadness that we inform readers that Tara Shankar Sahay, a veteran journalist formerly employed with rediff.com, passed away this morning in a New Delhi hospital after prolonged illness. He was 51 years old.

Tara is survived by his wife and young son.

Sahay, son of the late editor of The Statesman, S Sahay, began his journalistic career with United News of India, before moving on Strategic Affairs magazine and then to rediff.com where he worked for many years as Special Correspondent covering external affairs.
