However the management of the 'Dasaanjenaya Swami Temple' said that Chiranjeevi and his family were specially invited as part of the three-day festival to mark the fourth anniversary of the temple.
"Chiranjeevi had contributed generously for the installation of Hanuman's idol and his wife Surekha is a member of the board of trustees of the temple," said Rajender Prasad, the chairman of the Board.
Chiru and his wife, who were accompanied by film star son Ram Charan, were honoured by the temple management on the occasion.
