People stand in line for vision tests as part of Operation Lone Star in Laredo, Texas. The Texas National Guard and state health officials are treating more than 10,000 people for free along the Texas border with Mexico in a two-week medical humanitarian exercise.
Hundreds of thousands of Texans are either uninsured or underinsured and cannot afford even basic healthcare.
