Voting was postponed in a few polling centres of eastern Ramechhap district due to dispute among various political parties, according to Kantipur FM radio.
In some places of Ramechhap district, the Maoists allegedly obstructed voters and cadres of other parties to reach the polling centres.
According to a private radio, security personnel arrested some 31 Maoist cadres carrying arms from Butawal, a central Nepal town, on the eve of the polling.
Voting is taking place peacefully in other parts of Nepal. However, in Surkhet-1 constituency where one candidate was killed on Wednesday, the voting will take place on April 19, according to officials.
