Jimmy Carter in Nepal to monitor polls

Former US president Jimmy Carter on Tuesday joined a host of international election observers who are in Nepal to oversee the constituent assembly election, which is due on Thursday.
Nepal's three leading political parties have agreed to end violence and intimidation allowing peaceful campaigning.
Local media have been reporting violence, including attacks on rival candidates and even abductions in southern and other remote areas of the country.
