On Tuesday fans gathered at Australia Zoo to remember Irwin. But his family has decided to have a private ceremony. It was an ordinary day at Australia Zoo.
Terri and Bindi have planned for a Steve Irwin Day on November 15.
Irwin has received several posthumous awards. A baby gorilla from Rwanda has been named after him. Several memorials have come up across the world honouring him. In India a crocodile research centre in Kerala's Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary is named after him. Animal Planet has started the Oh Crikey fund to collect money for wildlife protection in his name.
