TDP leader hacked to death in AP village

Telugu Desam Party leader and Nagayalanka Mandal Parishad President Kanna Janardhana Rao was hacked to death by a rival gang at Yedurumondi, an island village in Krishna district late on Tuesday night.

District Superintendent of Police M K Singh told UNI that Rao was murdered with deadly weapons when he was proceeding to inspect his prawn tank in a two-wheeler
class="inline-block" id="div_arti_inline_advt">
along with his nephew.

He said the murder was a fallout of enmity between Rao and sons of late Congress and fishermen leader Arjunarao, over the Parishad elections.

A hunt was on to nab the assailants, he said, adding additional police force from Machilipatnam were rushed to the island village.
