The Central Bureau of Investigation, on Tuesday, began attaching the properties and bank account of Ravi Shankaran, a kin of Navy Chief Arun Prakash. He is an accused in the Naval War Room leak case.

His properties in various parts of the country are being attached after he failed to appear before the probe agency for several months.

The agency procured an attachment warrant on Monday evening from the designated court afterShankaran continously evaded appearing before it, CBI sources said.

The sleuths have moved in on Shanks Oceanography office in Goa, which is alleged to be his office, frozen his bank account in Mumbai and seized his Mercedes car in Pune.

The CBI had advised Shankaran, believed to be in London, to appear before the agency after raids were conducted at the properties owned by him in May this year.

A proclamation notice was also issued in newspapers published in Britain, where he is alleged to be hiding.

However, his continous evasive tactics were informed to the designated court on September 10, after which the court issued the warrant.
