Lord Ganpati comes visiting

September 06, 2006
From the home of Nalini and Nagendra, Manchester, Connecticut.

This Ganesha weighs 32 kilos and is created from granite. It was specifically hand-crafted in the Hoysala style by their family sculptor in Bidar, Karnataka.

Nagendra says: This friendly Lord Ganapathy blesses our home and our endeavours and is always bedecked with flowers. Sometimes it drops flowers answering our wishes. We make a Ganesha from sandalwood and turmeric paste for our main puja and immersion every year.
