Lord Ganpati comes visiting

September 06, 2006
From the home of Siddharth Oroskar, Overland Park, Kansas.

He says: A handful of us Indians decided to celebrate Ganesh festival this year. The Ganesha was purchased from Dallas and we decorated him ourselves.

Puja, aartis and prasad became the norm for five full days. At the visarjan we danced all the way to a nearby lake, much to the amusement of the neighbours and immersed our Ganesha. We vowed to continue this tradition and celebrate it every year with utmost devotion and excitement.
