President George W Bush will savour a true taste of India during his luncheon with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday. On the menu are succulent curries, flavoursome biryanis and seafood.
Taj Palace, in New Delhi, which will be hosting Thursday's power lunch is all set to offer 'the very best of Indian flavour, without too much spice' to President Bush.
In order to make it a memorable meal, they have specially flown in Hemant Oberoi, corporate chef of Taj Luxury Hotels. He has put together a menu that incorporates dishes from all over India.
The President and First Lady Laura Bush will get a chance to savour a variety of biriyanis, vegetarian kababs, a spread of rich seafood, including prawns, and different kinds of breads.
What will be the most unique dish is one of prawns with alphonso mangoes, which have been specially brought in from Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district.
The delicious alphonso will also be on the dessert menu, along with several other Indian sweets.
What Bush will not get a taste of the legendary butter chicken, because of the bird flu scare.
