The school that Daya Nayak built

We come away impressed. This clearly is an altruistic venture that needs to be applauded.

But one thought nagged me on the drive back. Instead of pouring crores in the clearly underutilised facilities of what undoubtedly is a magnificent school, maybe Daya Nayak could easily have built 10 more modest schools.

Then there would have been 2,800 smiling students in sky blue uniforms kept away from the drudgery of the cashew factories or rolling beeedis.
