Contrary to common perception, hate and hostility against Islam and Muslims are declining in America, unlike what it was a year or two year ago in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11, according to Professor M J Warsi , an NRI Muslim ,who is currently visiting Bihar, his home state."
Hate and hostility against Islam and Muslims are on the decline in America, it is no more on the rise," Professor Warsi said.
He said that it was wrong to propagate that hatred towards Islam and Muslim are rising in America." The anti-Islam or Muslim sentiments are now on the decline and that Americans had now become more interested in understanding Islam" he said.
Warsi, a professor of South Asian Languages and Linguistics in Washington University in St Louis, said there was a clear-cut change in the atmosphere and that the sense of insecurity no longer existed among Muslim in America.
Warsi said even Americans disapproved the US policy on Iraq and terrorism in the last month concluded the mid-term poll.
