After almost six days of interrogation, CBI produced three accused in the Navy War Room espionage case before a Delhi court, which remanded the trio to 14-day judicial custody.

Naval Commander V K Jha, Mukesh Bajaj and Raj Rani Jaiswal, who were earlier in CBI custody, were on Thursday sent to judicial remand by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Seema Maini till April 27.

The CMM also received the bail applications moved by Jha and Bajaj and posted the hearing on arguments for April 18. While Bajaj and Jaiswal were arrested in Pune on April 6, Jha was brought to the Capital from Muzaffarpur in Bihar on the same day.

Meanwhile, another accused ex-Wing Commander of the Indian Air Force Sambhajee L Surve, whom the agency considers its trump card in unravelling this case, will be produced from CBI custody on April 15.

Surve is alleged to have leaked classified documents out of the War Room via his conduit Jaiswal.

Further, the counter surveillance wing of IAF had seized a pen drive from Surve, examination of which showed that some classified documents had been deleted from it. An analysis of the drive revealed that it had contained classified documents taken out of the War Room.
