Breaking the ice after their five-day stand-off on the issue of Delhi strongman Madan Lal Khurana's expulsion, Bharatiya Janata Party President L K Advani met senior party leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his residence on Tuesday.
The meeting comes a day after the party bowed to Vajpayee's wishes and restored Khurana's primary membership after he expressed regrets for his critical statements against Advani.
The stand off, sparked off by Vajpayee's public criticism of Khurana's expulsion, was resolved on Monday after Vajpayee asked Khurana to express regrets for his statements.
The former Prime Minister had on Sunday recalled his long association with Advani and ruled out any differences between the two. The two top BJP leaders are understood to have discussed the party's national executive meeting in Chennai later this week.
