Police on Monday claimed to have arrested 2 persons in connection with the last week's explosion at the local bus stand in Chandigarh.
The arrested persons were identified as Satnam Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, a police spokesman said in Chandigarh.
The duo, who were arrested from their residences, were allegedly involved in the conspiracy of bomb blast and were actively helping Charanjit Singh, already in police custody, in preparation of IED and procurement of the explosive material.
The investigating team has also identified the places from where explosive material was procured, police said.
The preliminary interrogation of arrested persons revealed that they were introduced in the conspiracy by Pakistan trained terrorist Charanjit Singh and became part of the Khalistan Commando Force (Panjwar) module.
Police apprehended Pakistan-trained terrorist Charanjit Singh a day after the blast that left 7 persons injured.
