Exit polls at the end of first phase of polling in Bihar assembly elections have shown a mixed trend.
One placed the Rashtriya Janata Dal-led combine ahead while the other put Bharatiya Janata Party- Janata Dal-United combine in the lead.
Zee TV exit poll forecast 100 seats for RJD-led alliance in the 243-member assembly while the JD-U alliance combine has been projected to get 93 seats.
The Lok Janshakti Party, which had held the key in the previous house, was projected to secure 18 seats, 11 less than last time.
Others account for 32.
In the February elections, RJD had secured 75 seats. The JD-U with 55 and BJP with 37 put up a combined strength of 92. In Star TV's poll, the JD-U-BJP combine has been projected to get 107 seats against RJD-led alliance's 94.
The poll said the LJP was the major loser, with a tally of just 15 seats while others have been given 27 seats.
Three more phases of polling later this month and November.
