A tea vendor Mohammed Salim Ansari, 12, was admitted to the Patna Medical College and Hospital with critical injuries after he was pushed out of a running train by the railway police for refusing to pay bribe. Ansari lost a leg when he was pushed out.
Doctors treating Ansari said his condition is critical due to excess bleeding following the loss of limb.
Police officials said Ansari was forcibly pushed out of Sadbhavna Express two days ago near Hajipur railway station by two railway police personnel.
Ansari told the police that when he refused to pay a bribe, they snatched Rs 200 from him near the outer signal of Hajipur railway station and pushed him out of the running train.
Ansari, the son of a poor labourer of Muzaffarpur dstrict, was first admitted to Sadar hospital in Hajipur, but when his condition deteriorated doctors referred him to PMCH Thursday.
