I thought something is wrong with my chair, and then I stood up on the floor, first I thought something is wrong with me..but then I felt that earth is moving (w.r.to me if any physics genius is sitting up there).. and then I saw people running in the ground and by now I had found that I was alright, and it was an earthquake..

Quake Experience: I live in on the 5th floor of one of the higrises in Gurgaon. I was peacefully watching TV when my two Australian parakeets suddnely went totally quiet, a rare thing for them . A minute later the whole building started shaking and thses were very strong quakes. I have lived in Californai for 4 years on the San Andreas Fault and never have I felt such strong tremore.It continuued for about 3 minutes and all this while my 2 birds were quiet. As soon as the termors stopped they stared shrieking and I had to calm them down.Scary!!

Quake Experience: I am working in a hospital and my office is situated on the 4th floor. Our building was shaking very badly. For the first time we felt that much tremour. We could not run down. Frankly, we wanted to run down but as soon as we thought about the patients admitted on our floor, we all decided to stay back there. We had given ourself to the hands of God. But thank God!!!! that time passed out peacefully and there was no loss of life or property.
God be with everyone whosoever lost their dear ones in this earthquake.

Quake Experience: Saturday is a Holiday to the Office. I do attend on saturday's. This saturday today around 020 hrs the table chair shook. I came and asked those available if they felt any. They said No. I went back and was on my job, that at 0925 or so the entire table, chair and the Printers around all swayed and rumbling noise heard. I ran out down the floors from the 4th floor where I was, two stairs at a time and made it to the outside. A crowd had already collected and one could feel the Seven storey office complex swaying like a Pendulum of a Wall Clock. A real fascinating site of my life.

Quake Experience: Hi!!! I hope all r well after the earth shocks. I am a branch manager of a Pvt. Life insurance company at Kapurthala. I had not even settled in my branch that i felt my chair was shacking. It again shacked and i realised it was a quake. I asked every one to vacate the office fast as it was a quake. We all reached down. Already, there were people on the road, fear visible on their faces, Women telling each other about what happened but all was well in the next 5 minutes and life has come to a normal.

Quake Experience: This relates to my earth quake experience during 2001 in Bhuj. As it was holiday, I was sleeping till 8:45 on that day, when suddenly our home started shaking. My mother, myself and sister could not come out of house as it was really vibrating like anything with sound from earth. Every household items were falling from shelf around us, when we got together in our bedroom.We started speaking God name and passed those 100 seconds by hugging each other. Then came out of home after the earth stopped shaking. As I came out,did notice that one building infront of our home was not there..!!it has collapsed and just dust was coming out of it. Then started searching for my father who had gone for shopping. Old building of market had collapsed but fortunately my father had first gone to Swaminarayan temple instead of going to market on that day. So God saved his life.

Quake Experience: i was just enjoying my late morning in my bed when i felt som tremers in my body.i immidiately got up and saw the time , the watch was showing 9 . 15 am , suddenely i felt a huge tremor, i saw my fan shaking vigourously. i was scared and there was panic and chaous all around my hostel.we all ran out in the lawn and waited there for next three hours , we feared e may have more tremours. the mirror on the wall was shattered and lying on floor. the beds position was displaced and everything was like mess.
the kachha room in front of our hostel gave away to this quake. thankfully it was abandoned and nobody was living in it.
the mention itself of quake spread a wildfire inside our hostel although everything is normal and safe ,but we canot imaine the agnoy of the real sufferers

Quake Experience: I live on the 11th floor of an apartment in Gurgaon. After bath and putting on trousers I was wearing socks when I felt the quake. Initially I thought that it is the effect of medicines I took but then I could see from the window as if the whole building was oscilating. With socks on one foot I came down 11 floors. In no time all the residents were there. We all waited for about 15 minutes and slowly one by one all of us went back to our apartments. Back in my room first thing I did was calling up my daughter on her mobile. She was in a bus to Delhi and was safe.

At home, water in the tub was coming out because of shaking and everyone in colony was out in the street.
Thank god there is no damage in our city and also no damage in any nearby city.

Quake Experience: I am a Student of IIT Delhi. I was sitting inside my room and preparing for my exam which was at 11.00 AM. The time then was around 9.40 AM. Suddenly I felt that my bed was shaking. I thought that as I didnt had the sound sleep due to my exams, it was the effect of that. But soon I saw the computer on the table was vibrating about its stand.. then was confirmed the earthquake.. I ran out of my room shouting "Earthquake.Earthquake!" As I opened my room, I saw other students of the hostel also rushing down the stairs to reach to the lawns..I followed them and saw a large amount of hostelites on the lawn laughing and joking about the earthquake.As my hostel is the oldest of IIT Delhi, all of us expected something fearful..but thank God! we were all safe. I gave my exam and read the rediff news that North India has been struck.. I pray for their happiness..

Quake Experience: A terrifying experience...
Today an earthquake left a terrifying experience in my heart...
This is the first time in my life that i have had this kind of shocking experience in earthquake....
One can just feel it...
Not only everything around but the heart also had a big jolt with the tremors of earthquake....
I was sleeping then at around 9.15 and i felt someone is shaking me as if to say get up.... and when i opened my eyes i was scared seeing no one around but still someone shaking me!!!! I jumped out of my bed and started shouting everyone to come out....
Everything around was shaking just like anything....
Even after it had gone... there were still some light aftershocks which kept all the things around having a bit of shake for another few seconds...
A terrifying experience..

We could not understand what is happening.I switched of my enjine to see if there is some problem in the car. I looked around but everybody was sitting normally and nobody else felt like quake.So i thaght my car has some problem. I called 2-3 people to see my car shivering,everybody thaght some major problem in the car and we were shocked to see such problem. Quake Experience: I was sitting on the ground & reading newpaper i felt that something is moving in the earth & i was shaking quickly i understand this is a earthquack & started loudly & my family member came outside most of the people left the house & stand the outside around 15 minutes then again we eeter our home & switch on the tv & know really it is earth quack since i am feeling headache & woomating & not feel well.

Quake Experience: I immdtly came out f my office in UN Compound in Kabul. My container office was shaking heavily. Then after 15 mts got the news that the epicentre was in Pak and it shook the North India and was 6.8 to 7.6. I immdtly called my family back home in Dehradun to know that all was well there.

Quake Experience: Today(8th Oct) at 9:30 AM when i was working on my PC at my office in Ahmedabad,my chair started to move i though my head must be dizzy after 2 seconds i stood up and i saw all of my collegue was saying to each other same experience as we were on 8th floor we all ran down.

Quake Experience: I was in my office's building when all teh computers and table stationary start moving...it was a scaring experience..for the first couple of seconds, I was unable to understand what was happening, then suddenly I realized that it was an earth quake...we ranned out of the building to be on the safer side.

Quake Experience: i was eating my b/fast when i suddenly feel that something is moving under my leg. I thought whether it is earthquake ? But suddenly I feel yes it is and i ran outside from my house with all my family members. When I came outside I saw my bike was moving, which was on stand. I waited for some seconds and I asked my family members not to go inside because there will be reverse wave and yes it was but in a big jolt. Thanks god everything went smoothly.

Quake Experience: I was sitting in my office and reading some documents. suddenly i feel giddiness and i feel that im not well but my chair is also rocking slowely. and all was done in few seconds. after that my friend call me and said that it was earthquake. then i logon to rediff to confirm. But thank god im safe.

Quake Experience: At around 09:25 a.m. I was just surfing net when suddenly my computer monitor started shaking. I was bit confused when I saw that even windows, doors & chairs have started shaking. I suddenly realised that its an earthquake.I along with my parents came down from our third storey appartment & so did our neighbours.It was a pretty big earthquake both in magnitude & duration.

Quake Experience: I was sitting on the chair, suddenly my chair is moving, I thought it is earthquake & I ask to my colleague then we go to down stairs to the ground, it was very dangerous earth quake.
