About 3000 schoolchildren staged a protest march in Patna on Tuesday morning to demand the release of an abducted schoolboy Gaurav Kumar alias Golu, who was abducted on September 20.
Their protest march was taken out in the wake of the deadline set by Patna High Court to the Bihar police to find the abducted boy and produce him in the courts by 10.30 Tuesday, ended. The court had on September 30 extended the deadline given to the police by four days for tracing Golu.
The school children marched from their school in Danapur to Patna High Court holding placards.
Earlier on October 2, they had staged a protest march to draw the attention of Governor Buta Singh to intervene in the matter and help secure his early release.
Earlier, they had held silent demonstrations outside the governor's official residence, holding placards demanding his release.
Nine-year-old Gaurav Kumar alias Golu, a student of the class 4 of the school in Danapur, was abducted while on his way back home after getting off the school bus on September 20.
