Stepping up the offensive against the Governor Buta Singh for the dissolution of the Bihar assembly, the opposition National Democratic Alliance on Wednesday alleged that the governor had resorted to the dictatorial step to prevent alliance Nitish Kumar from forming a government.

"We will embark on a series of agitations and will hold a massive rally in Patna on June 25 to press for his removal. Buta Singh has lost the moral right to continue after the dissolution of the House on flimsy and illegal grounds," NDA state convener Nan Inshore Adam.

He was accompanied by Bharatiya Janata Party state president Gopal Narayan Singh and Janata Dal-United leader Vijendra Yadav at a press conference in Patna.

They recalled that former prime minister Indira Gandhi had added a black chapter in the country's history by declaring emergency on June 25, 1975.

"We chose to organise our rally on the same day to protest against the dissolution of the state assembly", they said.

"We will expose the murderers of democracy the same day."

On the allegation that the NDA indulging in horsetrading in Bihar, JD-U leader Yadav wanted to know why the governor did not take action.

"The governor being the executive head of the state should have ordered the authorities to stop such malpractices," Yadav said.
