The army and Indian Air Force conducted a joint exercise. It was done as 'quick time' coordination and synergy between the army and air force is essential during a swift military combat.

Vajra Shakti also saw MI-35 helicopter gunship armed with night fighting capabilities and army tanks.

The Chief of Army Staff Gen J J Singh said, "This exercise has demonstrated that the army is more than ready to face any challenges thrust on us."
