Former Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and six others, charged with killing protected animals, on Saturday sought more time for presenting themselves before the Haryana police.

Pataudi and his associates have been charged with poaching a black buck and two hare during one of his shooting expeditions in Jhajhar, Haryana.

In a communication to the Jhajjar police, the accused sought time till June 15, saying the police notices were served at
their residences in their absence.

Meanwhile, Jhajjar Superintendent of Police Hanief Qureshi said efforts are being made to arrest the accused.

Raids at different places in Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh would continue to apprehend Pataudi, he said.
