Intensifying the search for former India cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and his accomplices in the black buck poaching case, the Haryana police on Friday raided their residences in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, but drew a blank.

Soon after the deadline set by the Haryana police for Pataudi and his accomplices to present themselves before it expired, separate teams of the Haryana police raided the houses of the former cricketer in the Vasant Vihar locality in New Delhi and in Pataudi village in Haryana.

The Haryana police had registered cases against Pataudi and seven others under various provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act for the shooting of protected animals in one Haryana village in Jhajhar township.

One person, Madan Singh, who had scouted Pataudi and his friends, has been arrested and sent to jail.

The Haryana police also raided the homes of co-accused Madan Singh and Shashi Singh, but drew a blank there too.

The raid on Pataudi's house at Vasant Vihar lasted for about half an hour, while the search at Shashi Singh's residence was conducted for 20 minutes.

Haryana Police Inspector Swatantra Kumar said a servant in Pataudi's house at Vasant Vihar expressed ignorance about the whereabouts of the former cricketer.

The police also carried out a search at the Aurangpur village residence of Madan Singh in Jhajjar district, Hanief Qureshi, superintendent of police of Jhajhar said.

He said a raid was conducted in Pataudi's house in Aligarh too, but no arrest had been made.

Police sources said a team of Haryana policemen will be sent to Mumbai to look for Pataudi.
