He said the presence of a significant number of foreign companies at the event is a testimony to the opportunities that the Indian aviation sector offers for joint ventures, technology transfer and co-production for the global market.

"We can, together, reduce development and marketing costs, jointly develop state-of-the-art aviation products and do joint marketing," Mukherjee said.
