Greenpeace activists have upped the ante' against the decision to send decommissioned French aircraft carrier Clemenceau to India to be dismantled.
The environmental organisation said that through its protests, it wanted to highlight the carcinogenic danger posed by the vessel and urged the French government to remove the asbestos instead of sending it to India.
Greenpeace activists had on Monday boarded the heavily-guarded Clemenceau at a naval base in Toulon and put a banner 'Asbestos-carrier - Stay out of India' on the aircraft-carrier.
