Among those who figure in the list of cardinals who could become Pontiff is Mumbai's Archbishop Ivan Dias, a friend of Mother Teresa.

Cardinal Dias, who will be 69 on April 14, has spent most of his adult life serving the Church outside India.

The Cardinal, who has spent 36 years as a Vatican ambassador to several Eastern European countries, Africa and Asia, returned to Mumbai around 10 years ago.
